Bioeconomy Research Programme Baden-Württemberg

The Bioeconomy Research Program Baden-Württemberg was designed to support research and networking in bioeconomy. It consists of three research networks in the areas biogas, lignocellulose and microalgae, and as integrative activities the competence network modeling the bioeconomy, the graduate program BBW ForWerts and accompanying research activities in social sciences and ecology.

In the second funding round (October 2018 to September 2020) eight projects were funded in two funding lines. Funding line 1 "Bioeconomic process and product innovations with a regional transfer perspective in Baden-Württemberg (regional best practice examples)" aims to advance the transfer of the developed ideas and technologies into application.Within the framework of funding line 2, projects are funded that advance "Technological and methodological innovations for new processes in the Bioeconomy".
